Friends Of The Earth

Friends of the Earth Trust undertake research, education and public information activities to help improve and protect the environment.

Since 1971, Friends of the Earth has led the way in putting forward positive solutions to environmental problems. Today we remain committed to the ever-growing challenge of protecting the planet.

Greenpeace Environmental Trust

Greenpeace Environmental Trust funds scientific research, education and investigations into environmental issues. In recent years we funded research into the illegal logging activities in the Amazon and Indonesia’s Ancient Forests, supported some of Greenpeace International’s scientific research programmes and part funded other valuable educational projects in the environmental field.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England

CPRE exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources in town and country. We promote positive solutions for the long-term future of the countryside. Formed in 1926, CPRE is a powerful combination of effective local action and strong national campaigning.

The Rainforest Foundation

The Rainforest Foundation supports indigenous rainforest peoples' to protect their environment and fulfill their rights to land and livelihood. We do this by working at different levels, from practical work on the ground to international advocacy work to change policy and practices that undermine indigenous peoples' rights and lead to further rainforest destruction.

RSPB

The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all. SolarAid

SolarAid is a charity set up to fight the two most important threats facing humanity today: climate change and global poverty.

SolarAid works in Africa and carries out DIY solar projects – training local communities how to build small scale solar devices such as solar powered radios and lanterns – and installs small solar systems for community centres, medical clinics, schools and other such communal infrastructure.
