Action Medical Research
Action Medical Research is building a healthier future for you, your children and your children's children. We fund a wide range of research across all age groups, including stroke, cerebral palsy and Parkinson's disease, and our Touching Tiny Lives campaign aims to give the most vulnerable babies and children a better start in life.
Action For Mental Health
Action for Mental Health (AMH) consists of the four leading mental health charities. These are MDF The BiPolar Organisation, Mental Health Foundation, Rethink and Together. These charities got together in 1999 to form a Payroll Giving Consortium. All the monies that are raised by the Consortium will go towards supporting people with mental health needs and their carers.
Addaction
Addaction is a leading drug and alcohol treatment charity. Founded in 1967, the charity aims to ensure tat there will be free, accessible and appropriate substance misuse services available to all those who need them.
Addaction works in partnership with young people, schools, the police, prison and probation service, and many others to ensure that we are providing the best possible services. Addaction currently runs 73 projects in 18 counties across the UK. Addaction helps individuals, communities and the friends and families of drug users to tackle the effects of substance misuse
The Arthritis Research Campaign
The Arthritis Research Campaign (arc) is the leading authority on arthritis in the UK, conducting scientific and medical research into all types of arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions. It is the UK's fourth largest medical research charity and the only charity solely committed to funding high quality research into the cause, treatment and cure of arthritis, which affects more than seven million people in the UK today and millions more worldwide. We rely entirely on public donations to fund our research and education programmes, and spend more than £20m a year in universities and medical schools to support pioneering biomedical research in order to improve the lives of people who have arthritis.
Asthma UK
Asthma UK is the only charity dedicated to improving the health and well being of the 5.2 million people in the UK with asthma. We work with people with asthma, healthcare professionals and researchers to develop and share expertise to help people increase their understanding and reduce the effect of asthma on their lives.
Blindcare
Blindcare is an equal partnership of ten charities, including RNIB and Guide Dogs for the Blind, working for people who are blind or visually impaired. Through the work of our partner charities we are able to provide education for adults and children, mobility training, research into the prevention of blindness and vital treatment to improve or restore sight.
The Brain Research Trust
The Brain Research Trust is an independent registered charity whose aim is to promote and support research into diseases of the brain and nervous system. These include Alzheimer's Disease, Autism, Brain Tumours, Epilepsy, Huntington's Disease, Migraine, Motor Neurone Disease, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease (including the Deep Brain Stimulation operation), Serious Head Injury, Spinal cord research, Stroke.
British Heart Foundation
The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity, raising funds for pioneering research that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable adults and children.
Diabetes UK
Diabetes is one of the biggest health problems facing Britain today. Undetected or poorly controlled diabetes can cause life-threatening problems like heart disease, blindness, strokes, kidney disease and nerve damage. Diabetes UK funds research for a future without diabetes while teaching children and adults to live with diabetes today.
Elimination of Leukaemia Fund
The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund (ELF) is a national charity whose aim is to advance the treatment and cure of leukaemia and related blood cancers. ELF funds work throughout the UK with a bias towards patient treatment, care and support, and is a major supporter of the work being done at King's College Hospital, London.
Fight for Sight
Fight for Sight is dedicated to funding world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness and eye disease at leading universities and hospitals including Moorfields, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and St Thomas'. Current research projects include age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy and childhood blindness.
Heart Research UK
Heart Research UK is a visionary charity that leads the way funding ground breaking, innovative medical research projects at the cutting edge of science into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. There is a strong emphasis on supporting clinical and surgical projects and young researchers on their first steps into research. The charity encourages and supports healthy lifestyle initiatives that explore ways of preventing heart disease in the community.
Meningitis Trust
The Meningitis Trust is the UK's leading meningitis charity, raising awareness of meningitis and septicaemia through an education and training programme and offering practical support to people coping with the devastating after-effects. Together we are working towards a world that is free from meningitis and where those affected by the disease receive quality care and support for life.
The Mental Health Foundation
The Mental Health Foundation is a leading UK mental health charity. We work toward mental health for all. Our focus is on promoting mental health and preventing mental illness. Our mission is to help people survive, recover from and prevent mental health problems. We are unique in that we work to improve the mental health of children, adults of working age and older people through research & development, policy, campaigns and community work. We rely on corporate, trust and individual donations to fund our work. The Mental Health Foundation incorporates The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities.
Multiple Sclerosis Society
Multiple Sclerosis is the most common cause of disability amongst young people. It is completely unpredictable and can strike anyone at any time. The MS Society is dedicated to providing the highest quality support, emotional, financial and practical to all who are affected by this disease.
The National Society For Epilepsy
The National Society for Epilepsy established in 1892 is enhancing the quality of life of people affected by epilepsy, by promoting research, education and public awareness and by delivering specialist medical care and support services. Today, over 70% of people with epilepsy are able to have their seizures controlled by medication.
Parkinson's Disease Society
The Parkinson's Disease Society (PDS) is the only national UK organisation that works exclusively to help people with Parkinson's, their carers and families by providing vital support, advice and information, and funds for research into the cause, cure and prevention of Parkinson's. The organisation has over 29,000 members and over 300 local branches and support groups throughout the UK to help and support anyone living with the condition.

Royal National Institute For The Deaf (RNID)
RNID is the largest charity working to change the world for the UK's 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people.
We do this with the help of our members, by campaigning and lobbying, raising awareness of deafness and hearing loss, providing services and through social, medical and technical research.
SANE
SANE is a national mental health charity with three aims: to raise awareness and respect for people with mental illness and their families; to undertake research into the causes of serious mental illness through The Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE Research; and to provide information and emotional support to those experiencing mental health problems, their families and carers through SANELINE, our national mental health helpline open 365 days a year.
Sense
Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are both deaf and blind. We provide specialist information, advice, and services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work alongside them. Many of the people we support have disabilities beyond sensory impairments.
Terrence Higgins Trust
73,000 people are infected with HIV in the UK, a third of whom do not know it. Terrence Higgins Trust is the leading HIV charity in the UK. We work to reduce the numbers of people infected through education programmes, we provide quick, confidential HIV testing and a range of practical and emotional support for those afffected. We also campaign tirelessly on behalf of all those living with HIV to eradicate the stigma and prejudice which still surround the virus.
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
The Royal Hospital is an independent medical charity, which seeks, through research and the provision of specialist services, to meet the needs of people with neurological disabilities resulting from damage to the brain or nervous system. We also provide care for people with severe neurological conditions, including Huntington's disease and multiple sclerosis.
The Sickle Cell Society
The Sickle Cell Society is the voice of the sickle cell community in the UK. We provide advocacy, information, counselling, solidarity, direct services, including financial support to those affected by sickle-cell disorders and their families. For these goals, we are forever grateful for the goodwill of the public in terms of financial donations
The Stroke Association
Every 5 minutes somebody in the UK has a stroke. Stroke doesn't discriminate; it is a brain attack that can happen to anyone, even babies and children. Stroke is the third biggest killer in the UK and around 1 million people are living with its effects today yet 40% of strokes are preventable.
