Employer Information

Payroll Giving is a simple, efficient and flexible scheme, which allows your employees to donate to any UK registered charity of their choice by a direct deduction from their wage. All donations given in this way are tax effective so the charity receives your employee’s donation and the tax they would have paid on this amount.

For a higher rate taxpayer, Payroll Giving is the ONLY way that a charity can automatically receive all your tax on your charitable donation.

We are the winner of three awards at the Institute of Fundraising National Fundraising Awards 2007. Winner of Best E-Media Campaign, Best Face to Face Campaign - Arcadia Group, Best Donor Acquisition Campaign - Faber Maunsell. Click here to find out more

There is NO COST for our services; we just ask that you allow us the opportunity to promote this employee benefit to your staff.

Payroll Giving is becoming increasingly popular. In 2000-2001, £37 million was annually raised through this scheme, last year the figure rose to over £99 million. This includes over £10 million per year being added as an enhancement to employee’s donations by a growing number of Employers.

More than 10,000 employers in the UK currently operate the scheme, and Workplace Giving UK works in partnership with many of these employers to effectively promote this employee benefit to their staff. Payroll Giving is free to implement and easy to administer, with most employers telling us that it takes less than 10 minutes a month to process these donations through their payroll departments.

Every week we implement and effectively promote the HM Revenue ∓ Customs scheme to employers throughout the UK and hundreds of employees within these workplaces.

We currently work with over 1000 employers from many different sectors throughout the UK including: Arcadia Group Ltd, Balfour Beatty, Booker, City & Guilds, easyJet, Eidos, Financial Services Authority, Grant Thornton, Grainger Trust PLC, Green & Black's, Guardian Newspapers Ltd, Habitat, Home Office, lastminute.com, London Stock Exchange, Manchester City Council, Matalan, Metropolitan Police, Odeon UK, Publicis, Reed Executive, Starbucks, Taylor Wessing, Veterans Agency and Viacom Outdoor.
