Payroll Giving Quality Mark

Launched in January 2006, the Payroll Giving Quality Mark recognises and rewards organisations for making Payroll Giving available to their staff.
The Quality Mark and subsequent Awards symbolise excellence, recognising those employers that are making a difference together through Payroll Giving, benefiting good causes and employees alike. Winning an award is a great news story for your organisation, so why not 'GO FOR GOLD?'
Once you implement Payroll Giving, you will automatically receive a certificate as well as Quality Mark logo for use on your letterheads, websites and other company literature. These demonstrate (both within your organisation and publicly) that you are committed to the good causes your employees care about.
The next step is to effectively promote your Payroll Giving scheme to your employees and aim for a Quality Mark Award.
Quality Mark Awards
The Quality Mark Awards reward employers for fostering a culture of committed giving in the workplace by actively promoting Payroll Giving.
Bronze, Silver or Gold?
Awards are available for organisations that achieve minimum staff participation rates and employer support in Payroll Giving as outlined below:
Bronze Award
Awarded to employers that achieve 1% employee participation
Silver Award
Awarded to employers that achieve 5% employee participation
Gold Award
Awarded to employers that achieve 10% employee participation and additional employer support. Employer support means that the employer must either pay the administration charge, enhance donations or demonstrate that they have carried out an effective promotion of Payroll Giving during the past 12 months. If you are working with us, you are already promoting effectively.
Your Payroll Giving Agency will monitor the employee participation rates you have achieved by October each year and allocate an Award in line with the above criteria. If you are eligible for an Award, your Payroll Giving Agency will issue it between January and March each year.
A number of our clients are amongst the first to receive the Gold Quality Mark Award. Guardian Newspapers Ltd, Reed Executive, Publicis Ltd, Taylor Wessing, Retail Profile, CMS Cameron McKenna, City & Guilds and Premier Contact all received the award at the official launch in January 2006.
In addition to this, we at Workplace Giving UK practice what we preach and as an organisation collected the Gold Award for our own Payroll Giving scheme. We are the first Payroll Giving Fundraising Organisation to achieve this.
The Payroll Giving Quality Mark is funded by HM Government, administered and promoted by the Institute of Fundraising with support from Business in the Community.
