Trek the Himalayas
18 - 28 April 2009
This superb trek is located in the Himalayas, in the north-eastern province of Himachal Pradesh. The Himalayas are one of Nature's most stunning mountain ranges spreading 1,550 miles across South Asia. On the trek we pass through the Kingdom of Gaddi, a semi nomadic race who spend many months wandering the high pastures with their sheep. We enjoy some magnificent views of the Dhauladhar mountain range and explore the Dalai Lama's home and monastery. To finish this challenge of a lifetime we visit the Taj Mahal, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
A jam packed trip with a fascinating insight into a different culture- a definite challenge but would do it all again tomorrow.
